Harry - on playing Prospero
I learned a new language and made new friends.
I like the Stone Ceremony because it feels like you are saying a line and when they give you a stone it feels like you have accomplished something. Even if you are giving one to someone, it has a lot of pleasure in it.
I like the role that I have of Prospero, because I feel I can relate to him in many ways, even though I’m not a wizard.
My mom asked me how it feels to learn so many lines. This is how it makes me feel:
Mad, sad and happy.
Strange and good.
I think it feels good to accomplish a line in Shakespeare and you don’t have to win a prize to feel good about it.
The Tempest is a story about a Wizard, a Storm & a Shipwreck and they all come together into one thing——The Tempest.
Prospero is a Wizard that wants to seek revenge on his enemies that pushed him and his daughter out to sea.
One day a ship comes to the island. Prospero sees his two enemies on the ship so he gets the fairies and he makes a storm hit the ship, but not one of them dies.
I like being Prospero because I feel powerful like him when I do the lines.
